here I will continue my blogging ways. I plan to keep my eye on shout, watching its growth and maybe one day returning but until things for the bloggers are looking up, I will be using my wordpress account.

After reading fl0rence's blog

about the new game from Rockstar, Bully, I came across this clip

(Sorry about now linking, but firefox crashes every time I try to)

Anyways, I watched the clip with my room mates, one of who was strongly opposed to the developers (Rockstar) making this game. I have nothing wrong with this but he has played and enjoyed GTA (Grand Theft Auto). The problem he has with this is it's based in the school. I thought his argument was weak.

The game developers have the right to develop any game they want. It is the parents sole responsiblity when it comes down to it to ensure their children are not playing these violent video games.

I would play Bully. I am 20 years old, and I acknowledge that the game is violent. There is a big 'M' on the cover that tells me so! So the parents and press should back the hell off. If they don't want their children playing the game, DON'T LET THEM! Put the console in the living room, watch what they are playing! If you see they have a game a with a 'M' on it, take it! Don't moan and whine about to the developers about it. Go after the retailers that should be id'ing those that want to purchase M rated games.
People must remember, the average gamers age is about 24, and to be competitive as a business (which game developers are) you must go places that others haven't already! So stop blaming the developers! I want this game. I'm sure many others do to. If you don't want you messed up impressionable child playing this, then play some attention to them! Don't blame video games for your neglected child's disturbing behavior!

I know those that are against violent video games will ignore this. But I don't care. I am bluntly beating you in the head with the truth and if you choice to ignore it, well then too damn bad. I hope your neglected child gets this game and instead of actually shooting up his school, blows up some pixels to release their pent up rage.

Well I just finished reading Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. If anyone enjoyed the movie I highly recommended you read these short books. And if you didn't like the movie or haven't seen it read them anyways. They are amazing.

So I wonder if I'm the only person that have been having problems with the blogging part of the site.  Sometimes by blog will not load for me or it takes very long to load. I really think more attention should be given to the blog portion of this site. I really hope that the admins read this. It causes me problems and this is annoying.

Also there are errors with the dates on the blog's that keep changing to the current date. For instance right now, 7 of my entries say that I posted them today.

I will likely email the admins about this situation since I can't really view my posts to see if anyone has posted comments.

Also, does anyone know when the communities are being release?

I had one of the most messed up dreams I ever had last night. It was like a demented version of the Wizard of Oz, so I have began to flesh out the world and setting and began the work on the plot and story. I am very excited about this. It has been a long time since I have written anything so this should be good.
I will hopefully have the first few chapters written by next week so I will post them then.

Also I have having a bitch of a time installing Guild Wars factions, as in it just won't install... I think there's something wrong with my registry. I need to do a rollback and hope it works. If it doesn't I may need to format :( Damn comptuer

Do you want to see a feature added? Or do you want to see a feature changed? Or do you even just want to praise the people responsible for creating this site? Post your ideas or comments here!
How else are we are going to deliver our input in such a manner that the designer can simply look and see what the majority of the community would like o see done.

So go ahead. Post your ideas and comments. If someone has already posted your idea, show support for the idea!

Here's an idea for the ladies that want to get close to a band and don't mind flaunting themselves and using their looks.

So here's the plan. Every band has a sound engineer, the majority of them being male. Now, normally the sound engineer is overlooked and they like to show of their skills. So if you can get in close to the engineer (a good way would be to tease them with sex) chances are they will right to get you on the guess list, take you with them after the shows etc etc. The longer you can play them, the better for you. Eventually the time will come to put out or get out and it up to you then what ya want to do. Try it! It works best if

1) the engineer is single
2)the engineer is drunk
and 3) the band they work for is a rock band since you know rockers like to live the lifestyle!

On a side note I would like to make an observation. When a musician plays it's almost like they are making love to their instrument. Well here are the different forms of lovin'

Rock: Wild sex - all over the place
Metal: Rape - vicious and unforgiving
Rap: Prostitution - will repeat a few acts over and over again but nothing good
Classical: Married sex - slow, forced, tiring.
Country: The strange uncle with the nephew - gross
Opera: Oral - A pleasant change from time to time
Pop: Teenage - Lasts 3 minutes and sucks.

Excess the title. I can't change it even though there hasn't been a redesign, just a few code updates.

For those that don't know what popurls ( www.popurls.com ) is, this post may seem meaningless, but I assure you, if you're like me and like to check up the minute on web 2.0 new sources, this is a perfect page for you.

Anyways, Popurls is a webpage that has the latest news and updates from sites all across the net , including digg, flickr, youtube, del.icio.us and many more.

So if you're like me and likes to keep up to date on web 2.0 sites, this is the perfect homepage for. It also boasts the feature to rearrange the page to your liking so all the news you care about will be at the top.

Check it out. I ensure you, its worth the page load time.

File Size:

uTorrent:  597kB

Azurues: 7,787kB

BitComet: 2,648kB

uTorrent +1

Speed

Let’s get right down to it. Speed is the big deciding factor when it comes to torrent clients. I can’t think of anything that would matter more so we will get it out of the way first.

uTorrent:

Torrent being used: Slackware

Seeds: 42(136)

Peers: 6(27)

Max D/L: 213kB/s

Leveled out at: 200kB/s

Azurues:

Also causing conflicts with my router. Whenever I forward the ports, my router doesn’t work properly.

BitComet:

Unable to test. Every time I install BitComet my connection dies so I can’t test the software. It’s not only cutting the connection on my pc, but cutting it for all my computers connected to my router.

uTorrent +1

System Memory (With no loaded torrent:

uTorrent: 6,100K

Azureus:  36,000K

BitComet: 13,000K

uTorrent +1

Well given my results… or lack thereof, I have no choice but to call uTorrent the winner. But based on my knowledge of Azureus, the java based client, it is too clunky for my liking. Also from the rumors I hear on the uTorrent board BitComet isn’t as fast or stable as uTorrents mighty and small system.

So given the sizes of the software and all the extra crap in Azureus and BitComets client, I would guess that uTorrent, the smallest, and most clean cut of the three, would be the faster.

Okay, sometime today or tomorrow before I head home for the weekend I hope to do a review comparing what I think are best bit torrent (BT) clients out there ; BitComet, uTorrent, and Azureus. These are all the 3 recommendations on the popular tracker, isohunt ( www.isohunt.com ) if anyone is wondering.

I have in the past written p2p app, web browser and media player reviews so I would really like to add this to my list. I will be configuring all the programs to the best of my knowledge to fit my machine to get the best responses.

Next in the news is I finished Great Teach Onizuka (GTO). It is a great anime series for those out there that enjoy anime. its about an ex-gang member/pervert that wants to become the worlds greatest teacher. The animation is very interesting and the comedy is great. I suggest watching it if you enjoy anime.

-----

www.sleepytimegorillamuseum.com This is an very interesting band. I really enjoy their music. I find it similar to unexpect but not as heavy. I would call it black/experimental metal. It's worth a listen if you enjoy this style of metal.

School starts back up in a month. I can't bloody wait. I'm tired of sitting at home with nothing to do. This year is my final year of college, where I'm taking web develop. If everything works out well, it actually won't be my last. What I want to do is work in the field for a few years then take either game development (my hearts calling) or a programming diploma (my minds calling). Web dev is a mix of both for me so its a good avenue to start in. But first thing is to work in the field and gain some experience and pay of some loans before they get to high.

-----

This will wrap it for now. Will be back later today hopefully with a review about those three pieces of software.

Well, I finally decided to move my blog out of the dying remnants of Livejournal and into a community that is growing. It will be a slow process I believe since all my friends still post to LJ and refuse to move since they first starting blogging there.

The link to my old journal is ( http://iviz.livejournal.com. ). Over the next two weeks, I will mirror posts and then just stop, giving all my friends the warning they need if they want to continue to read my blog.

But anyways, this is just my first post here as I poke about, test and fill in all the blanks. I hope to find a few friends and new communities to join.
